Always Perfect and Always for You
One thing is certain, if you are going to hang around here, you may hear a few ideas that seem out there a bit, at least from a conventional sense, I always promise to at least attempt to entertain and challenge your thinking, but you are going to need to use your brain to conceptualize what I am laying down at times, it’s the price to be paid for truth I suppose. I can’t say that two years ago I would been able to externalize these words, suppose I didn’t wholly remember, but who am I to judge what is now, so here it is…
What I want to share with you is my experience of this world, it hasn’t always been my experience, but rather where I have come too, it is simply a jumping off point in the present moment.
And what is that experience?
It is always perfect and always for you! Always!
When I look upon the world I see one of absolute and complete perfection, I also see a lot of humans trying to wake up from this dream, struggling and holding on in an attempt to reaffirm old beliefs in order to gain their footing, or finding despair and sadness within their empathy, or lashing out in fear and anger, some of these are restless souls, those ready to be awakened, awakened to the natural flow of things, the perfection that is. In this world we live, it seems that pain and suffering is the norm, it’s what we believe in, when I say we, I mean human civilization, some of it seems very “real”, but all of it the illusion created by self, for any human living within the bounds of the United States of America, we are the richest people in the world, we are the richest people to ever walk on this Earth, it’s not even close, but even then we find suffering, don’t make enough money, don’t have the car I want, or my house is too small, all lack that really doesn’t exist, simply comparison to our neighbors, just maybe you have moved past all that and see the illusion of lack on a societal scale, from wage levels, discrimination, environmental, or other social causes, that is the expression of the “we”. On either account, it all comes from the same place, fear and lack, but the truth is not lack, the truth is abundance, it’s a game that is rigged in your favor, and it is all in the perspective.
The perfection is all around us, all we have to do is look for it, how a flower blooms, a bumble bee moving flower to flower, a snake warming itself in the sun, the leaves rustling on the trees, a bird in flight, or a fox with four cute little pups romping around in my front yard, our capacity to read these words, exchange ideas, driving my car to the grocery store to get fresh food, my washer and dryer that make life so much easier, drinkable tap water, but we really don’t take much notice of these things, we are desensitized to the perfection of it all. It’s quite honestly a dream world we live in! The way I see it, for the idea and the word perfection to exist, perfection must exist in some things, and if perfection exists in some form in this dream, then the universe itself must be perfect by definition.
While I can’t tell you exactly how I got here, because I don’t fully understand it, but this is where I find myself. It is an understanding that does not hinge upon the comings and goings of the world in which I live, the illusion itself, there is simply much more happening than the human senses can perceive, much more expansiveness. Within the various sets of belief structures that make up human civilization as we know it, fear is the basis of the majority, maybe all of them, on some level or another. That fear is centered around the self, the proverbial “I” and the “We”, our awareness of the separate beings around us. While we are separate conscious beings, we are all in fact one consciousness as well, but that is not how we see it, maybe intellectually, but not remembering to our core, at least not yet anyway. It is likely someday humans will evolve to that understanding through science and spiritual awareness, because if you have not been paying attention, physics is proving out each day that the teachings from spiritual teachers and texts, the so called mystical, are in concept correct, we are energy, we are made up of the source material of the universe, quantum entanglement proves we are all connected, but ultimately physics can’t provide all the answers, because it’s impossible to know the rules of the game if you are a piece in the game, which we are... Humanity will continue on it’s inevitable path as science and spirituality naturally begin to rejoin together once again, just as they began hundreds of thousands of years ago, as we began to develop causation to the world around us. In doing so, humanity will find more certainty and truth about the flow of things.
The story of the universe is as big and unbelievable as any tale that could be written, beyond imagination even, this place that seems to exist nowhere, stars, planets, galaxies, blackholes, on a scale that is beyond human capacity to comprehend due to the relative nature of time and distance, distances measured light years, infinite in scope, and what appears to be mostly empty space. This is where the perfection all begins and where we can find grounding in this truth. Here we are, consciousness, “magically” appearing out there, in that vastness of space. As a result of this consciousness, or traded in lieu of, this curious thing happens, we are captured by it, captured by the illusion, such that we believe we are different from the whole thing, a separateness developed, this is a prevalent and strong belief for humans, the world is all happening to us, that is the perspective most humans have, just all of us poor humans here on planet Earth, worried endlessly by our sad state of affairs, the victim in the story. I know that doesn’t paint the sweetest picture, but I had to get your attention, because you have a story, we all do, whatever the story might be. But what if we choose not to believe that story? Who says that is situation? On what authority was that decided and when? What if we are not separate and flawed, what if we are in fact perfect, what if everything is happening for and through us.
I would like to propose something to illustrate, and I do want to give Alan Watts his due, his lectures are where I first heard this illustration I am about to lay out. Let’s suppose for a moment that there was an event that occurred, something that the best science currently available to us describes as The Big Bang, call it creation, call it god or whatever you like, but there has to be a source for all this energy and matter, for this thing which we call the universe to exist, the estimated mass of the observable universe is 1.5X10^53 kg, that is a 15 with 53 zeros following it, and the average mass of a human is 62 kg, so whatever you call it, it does what ever it did, and boom, there is the origin of the all energy in universe in which we live, and we are part of it, we are it, some tiny fraction of all the mass and matter in the universe makes up our physical body, we came from that, we are the process of The Big Bang, all of which came together to form a conscious being, which allows for the universe to experience itself, through our consciousness, the one that seemingly just magically appeared out here in the Milky Way galaxy.
I am going to give you a picture to illustrate the idea, a mental thought exercise, just for a moment imagine a giant ink splatter, what does it look like, close your eyes and imagine it, imagine you took a glass bottle of ink, common place in the not so distant past, you pick it up and throw it against the wall just as hard as you can, it explodes, the glass shatters, and the ink spreads out in a complex pattern, more dense in center, then as you move outward there is more and more space between the splatters, getting more scattered the further out it goes, in the space in between more complex patterns form, maybe spirals, or some other interesting designs. Now take a step back and consider the scale of the universe, both in time and distance, imagine the universe laid right on top of the splatter, the paint splatter is now to the scale of the universe. Then picture in your mind’s eye where planet Earth might be. Out there on the edge of the splatter somewhere, maybe one little dot of ink way out on the edge within all the vastness of space, there it is, a tiny blue dot, all the while keeping in mind, the ink is still in motion from the original event, the splatter in this case, continuing to move further and further away from center, for over 13 billion years, as best we can tell, the process of the ink splattering has been going on, the splatter, which in our time, happened in a split second, is happening on a scale so grand, that the spatter is still in the air and moving away from the center after all this time. Conceptually that is the universe we live in, once you wrap your mind around this, the rest of what I am about to say becomes an easier leap. But anyway, there we are, our planet, our solar system, our galaxy, out there on the edge of the splatter, moving through space and time, we can’t deny that we are part of the splatter, it is a clear as anything, we are the ink, originating from the same source, the ink bottle itself, the particles that make up our body don’t remember they are the ink splatter, but that is exactly what they are.
You might be asking yourself, what is the point here, the point is to remember what “you” are, where “we” come from, it is not coincidence we are here, it is not luck, it is the process of creation at work, in the remembering of that we begin to see the perfection. It is our choice to suffer, to be scared, to live in fear, in denial about what we are, we are pure consciousness, pure energy, we come from the source of it all, for whatever reason that this universe exists, we are part of it, here to live out our lives, just for the sake of being alive, just as it’s unfolding in front of us, human death comes to us all, but life is about the pleasure and pain of being a conscious mortal being, thus every experience a human can have is perfect. When you really see that, it becomes clear, there is only me standing in the way of utter bliss and joy. I try to beat around the bush at, sort of nudge people along if you will, but I am really just here as an observer, because it comes from within each human, if you want to live in pain and fear, then it’s your journey to do with as you choose, but make no mistake, it is and has always been your choice. As the saying goes, “people are as happy as they decide to be”.
I am not sure what certainty comes first, but once you remember, deeply, what you are, there is an accepting and ignoring the illusion all at once, you are able to hold both at the same time, an understanding of what the self is, a feature of the universe that propels humans to evolve, but you simply refuse to accept any version of the truth that is not in alignment with the truth of perfection, such as fear and lack, seeing what we are, what we are made of, pure consciousness energy that evolved from the source itself, the ink in our illustration, you see that you are in fact perfect, but more than that, an acceptance of the natural flow of life that can be nothing else but perfection. Its happening for us, and through us, it being the universe and source of life itself.
Sometimes I find myself in a conversation with someone, and I hear, “ I am not perfect, I am only human”, which I say, “But you are perfect just as you are” The look on peoples faces, I never get tired of it, they look at me with a joyous sense of disbelief, almost “thank you for telling me that, but I am not sure I believe you.” Then I usually go on to say “It is always perfect and always for you”, and that means everything, the good, the bad, the joy, the pain, the suffering, the abundance, it is all perfect and happening for each one of us. What else could it be besides perfect, it is all that is, what the universe has created, what we have created with the existence we find ourselves in.
The return fire that is common from people, both about themselves and the world at large, is how can this whole thing be perfect, we have famine, wars, sickness, poverty, pollution, you name your circumstance here, and people are quick to point to the suffering or injustice. The question is do any of us really believe that any other outcome was ever possible in this moment or maybe even in our lifetimes, the evolution of humans has taken millions years, our civilizations have only be around thousands of years, we are only 400 years from The Age of Enlighment, our evolution will continue as time spans many generations, just as it should, humans continue to evolve our situation to better serve the challenges we face, it is perfect and beautiful. It’s not that I don’t care, or I am willing to ignore the suffering and pain that exists in the world, it exists, I do care, I only contend that there is no obligation to judge it as right or wrong, I can make the choice to help someone just because they are human and in need of something, “we”, as in human civilization are exactly where we are supposed to be, it’s perfect. In the oscillation of it’s changing and evolving nature, we make our judgements, what doesn’t fit what “I” want, the “I” being the self, the human ego. If we are exactly where we are supposed to be as a civilization, and I contend we are, and there are no arguments that support, nor evidence to suggest we can do any better in this moment than we are doing right now, in fact there has never been a better time to be alive as a human being, if you are measuring in quality of life and abundance, this is what is, then it must be perfect.
Maybe this seems too far out there to you, as if we are abandoning what makes us human, empathy maybe, but what if all this is the normal state, what if our choice is to not want to find fear and pain, people say they don’t want pain, but the truth is we seek it out, we came here to experience pain along with everything else. Things are going to happen, and as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, I will feel pain, sadness, and happiness again, life happens, I will feel the emotions a human is meant to feel, experience it all, but I know without a doubt that its happening for me, once you see that nothing can destroy you, there is nothing that could happen that can make me feel any way I don’t allow, because I am the ink splatter, there is no reason to have any fear. Anything that happens, is meant for me, I trust that.
At this point, there is no way separate myself from spirituality, because to me the spiritual encompasses all that is, the real world and the yet to be understood. I can’t explain why I have the experience that I do, but I do, and know that I am supposed to share it. This way of remembering, of the what and why we are here, has found itself in my life, the world that I see, I consider it a gift, it can’t be happenstance that it was given to someone who writes as much as a I do, or maybe this is why I write. I do hesitate to call it a gift though, because I believe that it is open to any one of us, it is simply a choice, a choice to not believe the pain and suffering is anything other than a perfect human experience, it serves no purpose, even if we can’t understand it, we just don’t know the right questions to ask yet, but anyone walking on the planet has access to this truth. There is nothing special about this view, it only requires curiosity and perseverance to ask the questions and search for answers within ourselves, because that is from where the answers always arrive.
What ever this thing is, we are it… It is always perfect and always for us. Always!

“After a few valleys and mountains, quite a ways along, you begin to realize that there are silent guides and that what has seemed so random to you and even chaotic, may have a pattern. The journey that you thought was the journey, may in fact turn out to be a journey you could not imagine. It’s very hard for a being who is totally attached and identified with its intellect to imagine that the universe could be so perfectly designed so that every act, every experience is within the lawful harmony of the Universe. Including all of its paradoxes.”
