Peru - Master Plant Dieta - Day 5

August 26, 2026 – Day 5

Life is the teacher, it is always right there, giving us what we need, the only question is are we ready and willing to see it?  Can we have the presence to look beyond our own image of self, our desires, our fears, our illusion?  As a teacher, life presents us with tests and lessons, moment after moment, hour after hour, day after day, the door opens and out comes the lesson. This has become incredibly obvious and clear to me.

This path that I am on, seems to have opened that door dramatically, in fact it feels like the door is wide open at this point. While ever and always present, it seems as if everything changed the moment I committed to this path, specifically the moment I served medicine to others. This understanding came over me, saying, “Ok, this is what we are doing, here is what you have work with.”  I have come to recognize over the past months that it all comes down to how much you can hold, how much presence, how much energy you can hold and work through.  That might not make complete sense to some of you, but others might understand it right away.  Whatever fears or desires we may have cooked up in our minds, throughout our life, those that we are hiding from or simply living in an illusion around, they all begin to come to the surface.  Life begins to unfold a series of events, the lessons, and tests, to see how much we are willing to face, how much can we hold.  I say hold, because these things never really go away, they are part of our imprinting, the reason we are here, so trying to get rid of them or run from them is futile, it is really about holding them without letting them effect our presence in the moment. Being so grounded into our own nature as a spiritual being living in a spiritual universe, that the illusion simply melts away.

This is the real work in what I am doing, because in order to hold the necessary space open for others, I must be able to hold myself there. The energies we face when holding open the space for ceremony are just this, the fear, the demons, and the darkness of those we are trying to guide.

One thing is quite certain to me, that this path is not easy, in fact it is fraught with danger and risk. I am learning to work with that each moment, because life shows no signs to taking it easy on me.
